Thirteen Months: Trailer

Sixty years ago, Rosa Parks was arrested on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama. We all know the story. Or so we think.

Parks’ arrest and the 13-month bus boycott that followed were part of a carefully considered strategy to move the American people and force change.

The March on Washington Film Festival, a production of The Raben Group, will seek new perspectives on the bus boycott and its strategists. Our documentary series will tell the untold stories of the organizers, many of them women, and talk with today’s civil rights leaders.

Rosa Parks’ arrest was the final injustice that became a catalyst of change. Today, moments of injustice abound and millions are ready to stand up and force change again. We will connect our history to our future, with new leaders and new tools.
